Patricia Prezioso joined MARC as a partner in 2007 after a notable career with the Attorney General’s office in New Jersey and the Manhattan District Attorney's Office. Among the many high-profile cases in which she was involved, Patti was the lead prosecutor in State of New Jersey v. McGuire, a homicide prosecution that garnered national media attention and highlighted the benefits of detailed investigation coupled with advanced forensics.

Prior to joining the firm, Patti served as Deputy Director of Criminal Justice and Executive Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where she supervised complex litigation and trials within the Division of Criminal Justice and developed and ran the state's convicted offender DNA program. She has testified before the New Jersey Senate and Assembly on DNA issues and legislation, and has lectured throughout New Jersey on the collection and use of DNA evidence.

At MARC, Patti combines her background in science and forensics with 20+ years of trial experience to focus on complex civil litigation and white collar criminal defense. This includes employment and environment matters, often relating to governmental compliance, for companies in highly regulated industries—such as pharmaceuticals. She brings extensive experience in interviewing, strategizing and evidence-gathering to all of her internal investigations and litigation matters.

In addition, Patti represents leaders in business and other professions, providing comprehensive legal assistance as needed, from corporate transactions and contracts to negotiating endorsement agreements.

RECOGNITION AND AWARDS

Throughout her career, Patti has been recognized for her legal skills. She was honored by the National Council of State Governments with the Innovation in Government Award, and she also received Professional Achievement Awards from both the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety and the State of New Jersey. She lectures in New York and New Jersey on a host of issues, including the use of DNA evidence, trial advocacy and preparation, and conducting investigations. She has been featured in news specials on ABC, NBC, CBS, and the Discovery Channel.
